In the last few weeks the Foundation for Evolution and Mental Health published our inaugural report, and a project prospectus.

These are significant products laying out the state of the art and the roadmap for the future of the field. They represent the most comprehensive public statements available on where evolutionary psychiatry sits in terms of its potential to transform the science and treatment of mental disorder.

The report lays out where the mental health field sits at the moment - across genetics, neuroscience, pharma, therapy, and much more - and suggests where evolutionary psychiatry can help support progress in each area.

The prospectus puts forward nearly twenty areas for specific project funding which we see as having the most imminent potential for transforming the field, with estimated costs, timelines and translatable outcomes.

They represent a lot of work, not just in putting them together now, but in summarising decades of background work on the theory and ideas which may hopefully soon translate into a bonified field of research.

Thanks those who supported me in putting these together, and particularly for the conversations and work which informed these materials.
